Unlearned: Impossible Means Can’t Be Done
This I kept on unlearning over the course of my life as a swimming trainer. Dealing with youngsters who don't have the models for some things, they will mostly claim, that the stuff you're asking from them is impossible. For example there are trainings exercises which combine swimming techniques in unusual manner in order to prepare the kids for the changing proportions of their body during puberty. For example combining crawl leg movements together with butterfly arm movements is for some considered to be impossible, but still may be done.

This led me to the conclusion, that impossible merely means "I don't have an understanding on how to do it." Still it can be done.

Tangential, and depressing: "Nothing is impossible for the man who doesn't have to do it himself."
